I just want to say thank you for introducing me to a designer I have never heard of. Have done a quick google search and it is interesting to see how his furniture was influenced by the Scandinavian designers of the time.
Your chair has a very DUX feel to it, but the execution of the legs is more refined . Perhaps your chair was reupholstered at some stage and had a lot more foam/stuffing added giving it that "fuller" appearance!!
I did find this article on the history of the OLAIO factory , who produced his designs. Unfortunately the company no longer exists.

You will have to translate as it is in Portuguese. Jose Espinho is mentioned .
Regards,
Lexi
ps; BTW,the cabinet you posted a while back is FABULOUS.

Thank you so much Lexi. Well I think it might be done wrong by reupholstery. So glad to talk to some other people being as well crazy for these old designs. I was in Porto some years ago and have seen these Portuguese design there. Now I found this easy chair in Germany... are you from the US?
No; I am from Ireland.
Very little scandinavian or MCM furniture, in general, to be found here apart from British furniture from that period 🙁
I do however, have two Doria chandeliers and a lovely Cocoon style lampshade, all acquired from Germany !
Lexi.
