I have a Saarinen design extendable Tulip table here and I assume it was made by Knoll. Very high quality workmanship, with a heavy metal (iron) tulip base. Maybe a custom-made product?
The table is first-hand and was purchased together with several Tulip Chairs, the base of which has the Knoll logo and/or the type designation embossed on it.
Unfortunately the table is not so clearly marked. There is some stamping under the foot, but it's barely legible (see photos). There are also hinges built into the folding mechanism, which are engraved with the “K” logo, which refers to Knoll.
Does anyone here know if Knoll ever made the Tulip table as an extendable version? Or are there clues that can be used to identify the logo on the hinges? I am thankful for every hint 🙂
Normally the table has an unusual diameter of 130 cm for Knoll. With the extension mechanism, the table can be extended to 190 cm.
