So I have this set of Erik Buch model 89s and they are dark. I have had these before and a lot of places online list them as teak. They could be teak but stained dark if they are. I don't feel like there is enough contrast in the grain to say they are rosewood and I have seen one listing on Panomo that shows some in walnut. If anything they look almost look like afromosia to me (the pictures make them look a little redder then they are) but anyone here care to give an opinion?
My bad, I should probably just say Anderstrup chair (I looked up the other thread)? It is too easy to see the 100's of listings all saying Buch model 89 but I am guessing nobody really knows who or if there was a designer... anyways here is another pic.

Well, I mean I suppose not, but we know that the Erik Buck name got associated with the Anderstrup 78 based on a superficial appearance. So saying that perhaps it really is an Erik Buck because a lot of people have repeated it is a very unsupportable position. It is a bit like saying they are Kai Kristiansen or Henry Kjærnulf or Hans Wegner because nobody can prove definitively prove you wrong. We know of absolutely no evidence that any architect was ever associated with Anderstrup.
This question was also discussed in this thread .
