Hi All,
This is my first post! so hopefully this query isnt something thats been answered over and over.
Ive recently purchased some Eames designed shell chairs but am having issues identifying exactly what series they are as the swivel stands don't match what I can find online. They are are fiberglass construction and show the Herman Miller emblem on the bottom plus a paper sticker that seems to be from manufacturing or possibly retail ID. Hoping someone can give me some more detail as I would love to know about their history and value if possible.
Cheers,
Sam

As per stated forum rules, we don't discuss valuations here. But I can tell you that the bases are the not uncommon Aluminum Group "Universal" variety and that the shells are missing their original rubber mounts and have been altered by drilling through and having hardware-store fasteners added which, of course, doesn't help as far as desirability to collectors.
A little goggling on your part will reveal what the molded impressions mean and Herman Miller may be of some help with product and manufacturing codes printed on the paper label.
