We have this beautiful teak reclining lounge chair by Slagelse, and wonder who designed it? Your help would be much appreciated!
@amber5. You say this chair is made by Slagelse; does it have a makers mark or label? If so please post a pic.Thanks.

@amber5. Thank you for posting that .
I am going to tag @herringbone as he has been doing research on Slagelse Mobelværk: He might might be able to give the information re the designer of your chair.

Huh, I wish I could help. But the three Slagelse catalogs I found are either from the 30s of the late 60s and are not helpful at all in this case. Since the DFI doesn’t have this chair and @lexi hasn’t been able to dig up something, I‘m not sure if there’s more I can do. Maybe @leif-ericson or @cdsilva have an idea?

I do have an early 1950s Slagelse catalog but it is also too early for this chair and it does not mention designers anywhere. My guess based on the teak and style is this chair is from say 58-62. I have noticed that Slagelse’s model numbers were arranged such that a certain designer’s work tended to fall into clumps. So maybe if you could find a nearby known model number it might give you a good lead for who to deeply research in the hope that it would not just be a big waste of time.
Just did a quick check of DFI (slagelse mobelvaerk ) and found a stool, Model 835 by Anton Born and Arne Vodder.
Reference Mobilia 1959.
So @amber5; in order to clarify, is the stamp you posted on the stool or the chair?

Models 815 and 825 are definitely Arne Vodder. ID your Danish Modern has a Slagelse ad that shows the sofa (815) and the table (825). The picture on the has the same colors as the picture @lexi posted. The table is the same. So there's a fair chance, it was the same photo session with the then new Arne Vodder models and that the stool 835 really is Arne Vodder and Anton Borg. And since the chair has the same model number, I'd say: the riddle is solved.

That’s a question for @leif-ericson.
