hello,

I am finding conflicting ID's on this lounge chair or perhaps there is a connection I am unaware of...can anyone help?

In the attached collage picture the chair upholstered with green cushions is attributed to Hans Olsen for Frem Rojle

and the blue cushioned chair is attributed to Poul Volther for Frem Rojle.

I believe they are the same chair.  Can anyone clarify for me?

thanks for your time and consideration addicts, happy weekend, LCA

@LCA

Hi, in the DFI the chair is listed as Poul Volther design, media source is Mobilia 60/61, that source is generally reliable.

It is a known and documented design by Volther. I guess the H. Olsen is a pure guess based on the maker.

I don’t know how it is called in English but the apparent joinery on the armrest screams Poul Volther for Frem.

And the name of the company is Frem.  Røjle, Denmark is where it was.  Many danish companies considered their location an important part of their identity.  From the danish perspective the knowledge of the role that Røjle plays in the mark was implicit.  If you wanted to find Frem you went to Røjle and asked for Møbelfabriken Frem.  You did not got to Røjle and ask for ‘Frem Røjle’.  Does that make sense?
