@sebipayne. A quick Google search and it would seem your chairs are by Lübke, Germany. I could not find an example with a makers mark but other models by the same company show a label attached to the fabric under the seat. Your chairs appear to have been re-upholsterded at some stage so perhaps this label was lost?

@sebipayne. Short answer:
Years of practice and a good memory when it comes to images !!

@lexi, I've heard it referred to as 'visual recall' or 'photographic memory'. You'd be surprised by the number of art curators I've met that lack the even slightest hint of this ability.
@sebipayne, Lexi, I believe, identifies as a woman and a compliment is not gratitude.
Please pardon me if any of that seems rude.
@tktoo2. I like " visual recall" as I do not think I have a "photographic memory" per se. 😏 Comes in handy considering my profession !! ....images... healthcare worker 🤔

Sorry @lexi for the he/she confusion. English is not my first language and I just guessed by name and failed. But next time I'll get it right. 😉 Thanks again.
Photographic memory is really cool! I'm really new in this mcm world, yet I started to recall some names already after looking at thousands of photos.
Do you know any good websites with a mid century archive index like Furnitureindex ?
@sebipayne. Interesting that you should mention the Furnitureindex.
I am having trouble accessing that site at the moment; "error/unsafe site" message showing up. The Designmuseum is currently closed for refurbishment until 2022. It is a good resource if you manage to access it. Not infallible but worth checking out if you can!!
Let us know if you encounter the same "security " issue when you try to look it up.

@lexi I've been getting the "Not Secure" "unsafe site" messages for about the last month when going on the Furnitureindex, at least when using Chrome. When I tried on Explorer I did not get any warning. Maybe depends on your browser settings. Since I'm not putting in any passwords or credit cards, and I don't think anyone at the Design Museum is up to no good, I just proceed to the site. But I live life on the edge.
Speaking of technical issues, some of the buttons on Designaddict have not been working for me on Chrome lately, like the "Add Reply" button. Everything works fine on Explorer. Does anyone know why this would be the case?
