Sometimes it's helpful to know the geographical location where the piece was found.

FWIW, here in the US, we say this style has sled feet or a sled base.

OK - 'sled' feet - yes makes sense, I guess you would say the same here in the UK too, where we don't get much opportunity to either ski or sled, unfortunately. Downhill on this would definitely be 'sledding' in style ; )

The wood is not teak either. Maybe Afrormosia or maybe something else.

Well if it is Afrormosia that indicates a suggest about where. The British possibly. Maybe Norway. Or a few specific danish makers. 

Hmm... yeah, I'll keep researching them.
