It reminds me of cesare lacca, very Italian looking, .... if that is any help.

In any case, it is a pretty cool piece. It would be great to see it in some better quality photos.

Nice cart and great job on the restoration!

When uploading photos, you have to click on "UPLOAD" for each addition. You can choose one photo at a time or you can choose several at once (like, select up to 6 from your file), but you can't select one, then select another in a separate action because only the last one selected will get uploaded.

That might not have been what was happening with your photos, but I think it isn't terribly clear that that's how it should be done. I know I didn't figure it out on the first try.

By the way, wood looks like walnut, which makes the likely hood of it being Italian a bit less, but not marginal.

Regardless of whether it gets ID'd, it is a beautiful piece, and you did a wonderful restoration. If I come across it somewhere out there on the web, I will post back here. Good luck on your search.

Thank you Spanky and Zephyr this was a great little find and originally covered in contact paper. Definitely a labor of love.
