Hello forumers
I purchased a cushion set said to be Herman Miller for my Eames Lounge. The quality is great and nicer than my other cushion set which was manufactured in 2001. The cushions fit perfectly on my chair and have the right proportions, however months later after the purchase I compared the back to my 2001 set to my new set and noticed a few differences.
The number of holes on the back is slightly different and the rectangular holes where the clips are accepted do not have tabs poking inward towards the foam like my 2001 set have. Also the filling in my new set is molded foam and in is not a piece of foam wrapped in dacron like my 2001 set.
Are these changes a result of new manufacturing processes?
This has concerned me because I was looking to sell my newer set, but I do not want to falsely advertise it as Herman Miller.
Please let me know if these are indeed Herman Miller.
Pics attached since a picture is worth a thousand words.
