Is this an authentic Pace Collection piece?  

I was browsing through the website of a local auction house today looking for mid-century pieces, and I found this really unusual looking side table. I googled it, and it appears to be a Pace Collection design. My question, therefore, is is it authentic or not? Based on the google results, it looks to be (the knockoffs had subtly different bases) but I wanted others opinions before I placed a bid. I'm gonna call the auction house up tomorrow to see if they can tell me anything also.
