Hi all,
I am new to this great forum and have spent some time digging through old threads but haven't had much luck as most related topics are 10+ years old so photos aren't showing up for me.
Am hoping to get some help in identifying this vintage Arne Jacobsen egg chair. It's marked on the metal base with "FH Made in Denmark" along with the code "520015". From hours of research online, it seems that the base/chair looks to be authentic (please correct me if I'm wrong!) but I'm a little unsure of the fabric.
Specifically, the seller says it's leather but when I google images of vintage 520015 chairs, I'm generally seeing leathers where there are just 2 or 3 seams of stitching on the base, whereas this one has 5 seams.
I'd love to get folks thoughts on whether this chair looks authentic (particularly given leather stitchings) - or perhaps its reupholstered? My other thought was could this be vinyl instead of leather? Is there any way to verify it?
PS I also email FH to see if they're able to help authenticate it and awaiting their response as I'm not sure if it's a service they provide. Many thanks in advance!
