Thank you, Dr Poulet. Someone in my circle brought it up because of a resemblance to something by a famous American architect. I'll await any further input, but without high expectation . . .

Merci !

I think we can safely disregard any connection to a certain famous American architect.

I'm quite confident of that. I thought I might bring some clarity to the appearance of this table at Wright Chat by seeing if I could determine who designed the piece, and what if any their sources of inspiration might be.

We have a thread there called, "Sure, we can call anything 'Frank Lloyd Wright' . . ." where the endless stream of spurious Wright references found in the Realty industry, on eBay, and elsewhere, are enumerated. The thread currently has 222,991 views and 1184 replies.

In this case, a Wright house owner and regular poster thought we might be amused by this quasi-Wrightian table; he posted it in a new thread titled "Affordable Danish coffee table in the manner of Wright." I'll be able to report back, from this source, that the table has no particular heritage or lineage that descends from Wright (designed by an apprentice, for instance, or made by a firm associated with Taliesin as a maker).

Must be a slow week at Wright Chat . . .!
