I have searched and searched for this but cannot trace it, I was wondering would anyone here have an idea? It’s lovely, at first I thought it looked like cheap Formica but it’s not it’s a lovely rosewood veneer. The handles have a very brutalist feel!

@Reamie

It's always a matter of taste, of course, but to me not only the handles have a brutalist feel, it's not a convincing design.

Located where? Country? USA?

It’s in Ireland, so could be European? It’s a solid piece, not flimsy so I assumed it was of some quality, but I could easily be wrong! I would just love to know its origin.  The owner had said it came from Brazil but could have meant it was Brazilian rosewood!

To be honest that was my first thought, either North American or Brazilian. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think it's great quality.

I like it, it feels and looks substantial in person. I knew it wasn’t Danish but wanted to find out a bit more about it!

It's the most important thing that you like it, then it doesn't really matter who it is from.

Thank you, without a doubt. I always have a need to find out about pieces I know very little about and can’t find myself!

Yes, that would of course be even better if you know what you like. For example, I own a small side table for almost 20 years, absolutely no idea who designed and manufactured it, but I love it, it's my favourite side table. I wouldn't sell it for any money in the world.

So maybe some day you will find it out. Or somebody else here in the forum.

@mvc  So now we are curious about your little table.  Care to share a photo?

I feel I need to see the table, pieces like that are the ones we end up keeping when we let others go!

I warn you, it's a totally unspectacular table, but beautiful. Pics later, just busy cooking.

@Reamie

Here we go, my favourite completely unspectacular side table. Oak legs, solid teak tabletop. Maybe one of you knows more about that table, but I googeled already since google does exist. In the pic of the apartment the table is below the wall mirror.

I love the shape of the tabletop!

Edit: I deleted the picture of my apartment, I don't want the whole world to see it, it was only for Mark and Reamie.

@mvc  Yes, I can see how you would grow attached to it - very elegant in its simplicity.  Your apartment is gorgeous as well.  Do you work there by the window on the Cesca chair?

@mark737

It's a Thonet S64, for visitors and customers, my place is on the other side of the desk.

Mark, if you figure out the side table, I'll send you a piece of strawberry cake! 😀

I can completely see its appeal, it’s beautiful. Your home is fabulous, it looks elegant and comfortable at the hard time, which is hard to achieve!
