Does anyone recognize this shelving system? This one came with three 8-foot uprights, with holes on the front and back sides for shelf clips. There is a tension disc at one end of each upright, and adjustable feet at the other. It came with four lucite shelves measuring 60" by 10" and 3/4" thick. Came out of a home in Texas with some higher-end 50's era furniture by Widdicomb and Johnson.
Another question about this system. The uprights are exactly 8 feet, or 244cm. The compression discs and feet add a minimum of about 3/4 inch or 2cm to the total length. So, even with the feet removed, they are too long for the parts of my house with 8' ceilings, and of course nowhere near long enough for 9' ceilings. I read that standard ceiling heights in Europe are 240cm and 260cm, so they would be too long/short there as well. It seems like they would be perfect with 250cm ceilings. Any ideas?
