I recently purchased this desk at auction. It is very cool, but I haven't been able to figure out anything about it. It is 3 pieces. The main desk with middle shelf, the left side has a bookshelf with two small drawers, and the right side has three drawers in the front and a small bookshelf on the back. The two sides are on wheels.

It is not marked. At first look, I thought we was Danish, but the drawer pulls on the drawers on the right side seem strange for a Danish piece.

Any help you can offer to determine the origin, designer, and value would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like perhaps later Dyrlund production. Definitely seen those nautical handles on Dyrlund night stands.

Vinde Mobelfabrik also used those brass ring pulls (or very similar). Here is one from a vanity #128.

ericson and cdsilva,
Thank you for the information. Do you both agree that this is a Danish Mid Century Modern Desk? The pulls definitely look very similar to the ones in the pictures above.
Is there a name for this type of three piece desk?
Thanks again.

I should probably note that most of Vinde's in-house designs had fairly sharp lines (like the vanity). So Dyrlund, who tended to have more rounded edges, is probably closer to the target.
To complicate things further, I believe I saw the previously-posted vanity listed a few years ago with a Dyrlund sticker. My assumption at the time was that Dyrlund had bought up Vinde and kept a few pieces in production. Both targeted similar markets, and the Danish export industry was consolidating in the 70's. However, I never found any reference that backed up that guess. The similarity of the ring pulls would be another clue at a possible relationship between the two.

Wow! This sounds like a real head scratcher. Does the style of the desk with the rolling pieces remind you of any designer?
