The elegant proportions with it’s curved shelves, together with the dazzling pattern of the walnut veneer makes this piece a truly wonderful example of the sophiscation of that era. The cabinet is divided into three parts: the top part is an open cabinet supported by a single steel tube, the left part is protected by (removable) sliding glass doors and the third part has wooden curved doors with light coloured birch wood inside. The designer and producer of the cabinet is unfortunately unknown. However the quality of the materials, perfect attention to every detail and overall craftmanshift of the whole piece indicates that it is likely to be product of the UP Brno Factory where the iconic architect Jindrich Halabala worked as an art director. This cabinet is in great vintage condition. Recent restoration has fully revived the extremely rich colour of the entire piece, showing off the beautiful patterns on all surfaces. The entire piece has been hand finished by Shellac and Nitro varnishes in order to achieve a greater gloss finish.
