I'm a huge fan of Eero Saarinen's Tulip Chairs and Tables, but I'm having trouble finding out if it's a true Knoll piece or not. There's no tag and the only stamp is MF on the bottom of the base. It looks like the spacer and the center rod that runs through the base to the table top has been replaced. So if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated cause I've been wanting to purchase this style of coffee table for quite some time now. So feel free to give me your input. I have a few more pictures as well that I can send upon request.

Appoligies
I'm sorry for posting such ridiculous pictures. I was able to re size them and I hope it's actually helpful to everyone now. Again thank you for your taking the time to read my post and look the piece over.

I don't own a Tulip coffee...
I don't own a Tulip coffee table -- I'm only personally familiar with the side tables -- but the table in your photo looks like Knoll to me.
The alignment marks underneath are a little odd, though. They're not needed on the production line, so they indicate to me that the table top might not be original.

I think the black marks...
I think the black marks there cause they ended up replacing the spacer and the center that runs through the base and connects to the top. Cause I would think that if the rod and nut was original it would be covered in the white epoxy that on the bottom of the base. I'm more familiar with side tables and dining tables as well. I pulled the base off and saw the rod screws into the spacer and maybe a little bit the table top as well. So you still can twist the top off but because the nut on the bottom isn't tight enough to not spin with the top you have to disconnect the nut from the rod and unscrew the rod from the top. So it's a complete mystery as to what is going on with the table.

Looks real
Base seems cast, one thing I make sure I see on tulip bases.

Your the second person to...
Your the second person to think that's it a Knoll table, so I'm starting to think that is. If there's anyone that thinks different knows for sure that its a knock-off then please let me know. The last thing I need is another purchase that I paid to much for or I mistake to be a designer piece.

It appears to be from Knoll.
But when in doubt, consider purchasing authentic Knoll furnishings from Knoll...or a reputable resale dealer. No offense, please.
Just a thought.

ps my very first ebay purchase was a tulip side table..that was mis-advertised as a Knoll product. It wasn't. I immediately donated it to charity upon arrival, and left bad feedback to the seller (after some communication). He was a PRICK! I love to use that word.
Best,
Old Mark

Knoll top on knock-off base?

I think of the legitimate Saarinen design as looking like the base is "poured". I have a pair of old oval side tables which never cease to be exquisitely beautiful, this base above appears to have very little grace.
