Please help id this modernist lamp?

I bought this for my dining room earlier today - aluminium plate and 'neon' yellow acrylic perspex with two fluorescent tubes. The base has had it's felt and labels removed and I can't find another on the internet.

I'm pretty sure I saw this lamp in Luna Nottingham years ago - but Paul doesn't trade any more so I can't ask him.

Better pics - it's German
I took the switch apart and it had German text inside (Montageanleitung)

Well that's what I thought when I first saw it but on closer inspection the perspex shapes are probably too far apart, too shallow and too flimsy to grip cds and of course then I saw the two fluorescent strip lights and the floor switch so I realised it was a lamp.
However even if it is a cd rack I'm still interested to know if anyone knows the manufacturer and designer.

I forgot to mention that it has a substantial weight demonstrating I suggest high quality manufacture. I've searched for all sorts of descriptions including 'Memphis' given the colours but have drawn blanks each time.
