Hi,
I just missed out on this pair of rosewood carvers which the seller called "Neils Moller". Out of curiosity, I have contacted them to ask if there is a makers mark of any sort but I haven't heard back yet - probably because they've already sold them.
I have searched to try to identify them and the only lead I have found is a dealer who sold a set of 6 dining chairs which look to me to be the same design without the arms. The dealer doesn't list a maker or designer for them but likened them in style to Johannes Andersen's work.
Anybody on here seen them before?

Great minds think alike! Those are exactly what sprung to mind for me also when I was looking for them. It's great how we can pick apart a piece of furniture to the smallest details to identify signature styles.
I can see where the seller is getting the Moller vibe from - the way the front leg bows outwards to meet the arm is similar to some of the Moller carvers but not the same.
Ps. thanks to H. Moon for his photos of his lovely chairs with the blue fabric above and below for the closeup leg detail!!!
I suppose I should qualify my previous statement to say they are not any Moller design that I am aware of. There certainly are design features to the framing that bear resemblance to both the 62/78 chair and the 65/80 chair (as you have shown above). Framing for all of these chairs was not easy or inexpensive to make. The more I look at them, the more I think I've come across them before; maybe as a previous ID thread on this site?
They reminded me of some chairs that Torbjørn Afdal designed for Vamo, especially the stub at the top of the backrest (side note: Norwegian designers drawing for Danish companies is really, really rare). Here:

They are not those chairs, obviously, but I did find this:

They are the same chairs, but I don't think I would trust the description for much. The stamp under the table is of Gustav Bahus (the table is a Rastad & Relling design). It seems they might be mistaking the Gustav Bahus "B" for Bruksbo somehow. Or maybe the chairs are actually marked, and they did not show it in a photo. No idea.
Arne Wahl Iversen also designed some very similar chairs for Glyngøre Stolefabrik. NOT the same, but another avenue to investigate:

Thanks for all your comments so far.
Simon, I too saw the similarity to the Vodder chair for Cado. The "stubs", as Lief calls them, seem to occur in quite a few different designs. I will look into all of these as I really like the chairs.
Thanks Leif for finding the link to the actual chairs alongside the Bahus dining table - but how frustrating that the maker of the chairs isn't definitively identified.
Who knows, maybe the seller will reply to me with a clear pic of a maker's mark - here's hoping!
