Kai Kristiansen or Aksel Kjersgaard?  

Hi.
I am curious about the label. Aksel Kjersgaard pièces are usually stamped "Aksel Kjersgaard, Odder , Made in Denmark". Could you post a photo please?
Is there a model number?
Concerning the designer, it doesn't really look like the line designed by Kristiansen for Kjersgaard. If it is a later piece, it probably has been designed by Søren Niessen & Ebbe Gehls.

Seems the confusion is getting worse.

I do own a model #1034 by Kjersgaard. It is a coat rack in teak.
I got a confirmation from Mr Kjersgaard that it dates from 1975-1985 and has been designed by Nissen & Gehls.
I guess the same applies to your model #1032...

Speculative, but not all speculation is made equal. I would guess this speculation is well educated and carries a very, very high likelihood of truth.
It sounds like you should contact Mr. Kjersgaard.

True, it is pure speculation but I find it pretty logical that two pieces with very similar model numbers (#1032 and #1034) were designed around the same time and by the same designer(s).
Anyway the best way to know for sure is to ask Aksel Kjersgaard A/S. They still exist and answer to emails.
