ID help... Vladimir Kagan coffee table?

look anything like Kagan to me. I don't recognize it at all. Interesting woodcraft. . .

Initially I would agree with you. But two things:
1. V Kagan did a lot of relatively unknown designs that are not mainstream to most.
2. You have to see into this piece - look at the thickness of the wood, the way it bends, and think of the SNAIL table. You have to admit that there is some likeness...?
or maybe I'm just looking too far into it...

I don't think its Kagan either. Could be the angle of the pic, but the proportions of the piece seem slightly forced....and not quite right....but I've been wrong many times

I've not seen anything like it. The base seems upside down. But
a thick glass often has a base like that. This one by Robsjohn-Gibbings
for Widdicomb also has the weight of the base on the floor.
Kagan used a tapered leg/support as well. (or is it an arm?)
Hope someone knows...but i would not think Kagan.

haven't seen the Snail table. I think of Kagan as angular, swoopy and streamlined. . . but I know I haven't seen everything.
