Hi, fellow addicts! First time poster, long-time lurker here.
This chair got away from me on Craigslist, I tried inquiring with the seller for more information about the designer but they have been less than forthcoming.
If anyone has any leads as to who the maker or designer might be, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

It is not a recognizable Art Deco chair by a well known designer but all I can say to you is when buying vintage, buy what you like (and need) regardless of pedigree and when shopping at craigslist, arm yourself with knowledge of the items you are interested to get the best items. If an item is underpriced, never ask the seller about designer attribution or you will raise a red flag.
Also, Art deco was retro in the late 1970's and many furniture makers and retailers made items in this style, like today's mid 20th century modern madness.
Real Art Deco furniture were for the elite (for a specific client for a specific room/house) using the most expensive and exotic materials and never mass produced.
2 cheesy sounding books 'Collector's Compass 50's Decor' published in 2001 and followed by 60-70's Decor are good books to learn about mid century modern 101. These also are the first two books that promoted an unheard of site called designaddict.
