OK, so I have exhausted my library, I've looked on line, and I'm starting to make marks on my desk where I am banging my head... but I STILL can not figure out who designed this table lamp. It's especially frustrating because it still retains its original label, which one would think would make it easier to figure out. There is a fairly distinctive logo on the label. This I do know: it made of painted metal, and is European in origin (still has original European plug) and I feel pretty certain that it is Italian. It came from the estate of a friend and customer of ours who passed suddenly and who was an avid collector of Italian lighting.Hopefully someone here knows the manufacturer, if not the designer. The closest I have come is possibly Francesco Buzzi Ceriani who designed a floor lamp with similar characteristics for Bieffeplast.

Very similar to  Afra & Tobia Scarpa designs.

Closest logo I've been able to find is Bilumen...

Here is the Bilumen logo from a old issue of Abitare.....similar, but sadly, not the same.

That is quite close, but not exactly the same. And looking at Bilumen's output, this lamp does not seem in line with their other designs.

Agreed.  Will keep on looking tonight.  If you had to say a year of production, what would you guess?  I was looking mostly through late 60s early 70's materials.

Pegboard-No luck thus far.....I have some 1970's issues of Domus I can check this weekend.  Any marks on plug/switch/socket that identify the country of origin?  I've been focusing on Italian design, but am wondering if it possible could be frome someplace else?
