Help id this bentwood tray- like Eames splint..?  

Hi, I am looking for any information or opinions on this bent wood tray.
It's large, 22-1/2" long by 11-1/4" wide by 3" high. Very thin, 3ply that is less than 1/8".
Maybe walnut? maybe Swedish? I couldn't pass it up, It reminds me of the back of an Eames DCM or splint. There is a very intricate thin wire system with a loop- for hanging?
Any info or guesses would be most appreciated.
