Hi all, I was wondering whether anyone had any idea about the background of this sideboard? The sliding door handle has an unusual metal strip running vertically in the center of it, and the drawers alternate dark/light in the dove-tailed joints. Thanks! I look forward to learning a lot here.

Handsome piece.
The taper of the front rail beyond the leg is a nice detail.
Those aren't dovetails (which have a characteristic wedge-shaped pin visible on one face of the joint) but rather the simpler finger joint. And the decorative two-tone effect is the automatic result of using a contrasting specie for the face of the pull-out tray -- a surprisingly rare occurrence in this application ! Thanks for the look . . .
