Yeah
Selfishness could so easily be balanced with courtesy, and everything would be happier. Gotta lower those expectations, I guess! Integrity isn't a default trait for many, it seems.
Not that I see any huge lack of courtesy or grace here, just something I was recently thinking about that seems to relate-
Spitting in the face of doom!
Five days
Time's a peculiar animal. It's better on the radio, but here, this is interesting... http://www.radiolab.org/2007/may/29/
Many people's lives (or "lives") are now constantly "connected" to the internet via their phones and other devices, while many people don't have computers. A closer relationship with technology seems to result in higher expectations of immediacy, with good reason. Whether this is actually good for humanity is pretty doubtful, in my ever humble opinion. It does seem to cause a lot of disparity in responses to things, and I just know that one day one of these idiots who refuses to not text while driving is going to run a red light and smash into my car and cause me to die a terrible death in a horrific ball of fire.
So see, it's really just an issue of having to destroy our technology before it destroys us, etc.
What was the question? I need to kill some more time at "work" here.

if I may express our collective gratitude on everyone's behalf.
I, for one, certainly appreciate your generosity and willingness to play nice. You have a lot to offer and I have much yet to learn, so I thank you.
In vg's defense, though, I'd have to rate his slight, on an anonymous intertubes discussion forum scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst, a 9/16th.
