I recently purchased a set of 5 mid century chairs. I was told by the seller that the wood is palissandre and that they are dutch. I have no other information other than when I took the seat off (screwed on only by two screws) one of the supporting braces had the number 15 stamped on it. Any help is much appreciated.

I forgot to mention the backrest is attached with four brass pegs. You can see the screws on the back.

Could be Fristho, a dutch company.

Thank you bj.
From what i googled, the chairs are similar but none of the Fristho models I found had the brass backrest supports. I did stumble upon a book link by Bert Looper "Fristho progressive furniture 1921-1978"; it's in dutch but I'll try and pick it up see If I can learn a bit more.
Thanks again!
I'm new to this; after years of admiring the designs through pictures, I finally purchased my first piece, a set of 6 Pastoe SA07 chairs, which I'm having repholstered. The chairs here Are my second purchase and regardless of what they end up being, i really like them.

I found a similar backrest design using brass pegs in the model 75 by Hovmand-Olsen for Onsild Mobelfabrik, but the similarities stop there. I am not familiar with other models by the designer or manufacturer.

As a note it is very hard to believe this is palisander (rosewood). The photos are not ideal for identifying the wood species so I would not like to speculate what it might positively be. But I can say negatively that it isn't rosewood.

Leif,
Thank you. I tried taking some more detail pictures of the wood. Notice the natural color can be seen on one of the lose joints.
