Looks like
a continental two pin plug?
The gallery looks like it ought to hold a custom glass shade? but that said, I've never seen this lamp before- and love it!
I'm guessing at Belgian, French or Dutch..

I have seen it in a magazine...
I have seen it in a magazine described as "1950's atomic style, French"

.
fwiw looks English to me - bayonet or screw bulb holder (2 pin plug means f all really)? Has a feel of early Conran / skylon /FoB. Nice lamp.
