Doesn't look familiar to anyone?

For what it is worth, it is not teak. i don't think it is Afromosia, although the door is generally right, the streaky grain doesn't look right.
I am not even sure it is Scandinavian considering the design and unknown wood.

yeah I actually don't think its teak, it appears to be stained. I haven't seen anything really like it, but its kind of interesting.
I was actually thinking it looked a bit American. The only part that really caught my eye is the joinery on the last photo. I assume its a generic department store chair unless I hear otherwise from anyone that recognizes it.

It could be American I suppose. I guess the wood could be walnut, maybe. Or if it is stained that would be a strong indication of an "in the style of" piece like Americans made.
Photos of the underside and other ugly parts would very likely reveal if it is American (or Scandinavian).

I was thinking it might be one of those Canadian pieces in the Danish Modern style. (Since the OP is Canadian, right? Or lives in Canada?)
