There's an Eames chair for sale on CL for cheap - $150. I'm feeling a bit skeptical, but I have very little understanding on how far the knockoff furniture designers are willing to go to deceive. The one photo worth sharing contains a pretty strong claim of its authenticity -  http://imgur.com/eclPjMS (the remaining photos are stock images of the shell chair). Does that photo "prove" that it's the real deal? Otherwise it would be breaking copyright laws, correct?

It's legit.  As far as I know, knockoffs do not have fake stamps on them.

It is legit but I would advise buying vintage. $150 isn't a great deal for a newer shell. You need that old fiberglass.

Hmm, you think so? The same chair is within the range of $320-$340 on DWR. I know CL may not be the best place to look for a gauge on value, but most of the chairs that are explicitly stated as knockoffs of this chair are within the same $150 price range.
The one vintage Eames chair was a rocking chair for $1800.

It's real. The plastic chairs don't have as much value now that HM brought back the fiberglass version.

The price is fine if in good condition (arm chair?).  I use a plastic Eames chair for my desk.

No, not an arm chair. There's a vintage fiberglass chair now available for roughly the same price, but frankly, I like the look of this one more. The vintage one has kind of an ugly orange color to it, and has a more bare bones leg design.
