Dear all,
I picked up this sofa with a matching armchair recently.
It is a very interesting shape, very boxy, low and sleek with an unusual rosewood leg configuration.
Has anyone seen one of these before?
Many thanks in advance.

I can't give you any information, but only the comment that it is beautifull.
But maybe you can help me!
I saw on your flickr account a black leather easychair with wooden tapered legs, sitting by your window.
Do you know who made it? I have a wingbackchair possibly from the same serie of seating: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30923432@N07/2925679313/
very neat collection by the way!

Hi bj,
The black leather chair I had was by Kurt Ostervig, produced by Selectform around 1965.
I had a look at your chair, it is similar but the flare of the armrests is different. I dont think it is a variation of the Ostervig design. I may be wrong. I`d welcome others to comment.

I think it could have been made my Cado. Check furnitureindex and search for Cado, images aren't great though on there. Can't help but think it is very similar to my Wegner.

Nick,
Thanks for your help.
I am with you on Cado, I was thinking that the rosewood legs with an allen key fixing looked very Cado-esque.
I do think it is of Danish origin judging by the sleek styling.
I will let you know if I turn anything up. All the best.
