BMW Prototype or Early Unknown Design?  

That car has a Mitsubishi logo in the center of the front grill. I am no car expert but I seriouly don't think Mitsubishi ever did a prototype for BMW.

That's an early prototype from back when the now familiar BMW propeller logo had 3 blades. Jump on that!
In all seriousness, I used to have an old Diamante wagon that was fast, good looking and probably a lot more reliable than a Bimmer. I still kinda miss that car.

Clever. At least you didn't ask how much you should pay for it (cause THAT is against the rules).

Sorry I missed it but each wheel cover has a Mitsubishi logo too in the center.
If it is a BMW, it should have the circular cross hair logo with blue and white colors and letters B, M, W on top in the outer black band.

Whenever the space aliens land, it may actually be quite difficult to explain certain differences between Mitsubishi and BMW.
Regardless, you might offer 500 and see what they say.

I believe this is an early limited production run from the German company.
BMW experimented and developed a wooden chassis which had the perfect tensile strength for long high speed cruising on the autobahns. The chassis was refined and produced from the finest Cuban Mahogany.
If you turn the car upside-down and look underneath next to the VIN number you will also find the cars unique Mahogany association number. A rare find.

I have attached two images with the thought that a picture is worth a thousand words...as you appear to be unable to read. Once again...it is a Mitsubishi.

Former BMW designers were poached by the the Koreans, like Christopher Chapman and Peter Schrieyer (sp?).
Hypothetically, what if others were poached by Mitsubishi? Or more insidiously, what if BMW outright designed a prototype for Mitsubishi? Toyota designed the Pontiac Vibe for GMC not so long ago. In fact the automotive industry is filled with this sort of thing.
It might well be wholly reasonable to consider it a BMW in spite of the Mitsubishi logo. Not so easy a question really.

It is wholly unreasonable to consider it a BMW with a Mitsubishi logo. The "state of issuance title" for this particular automobile is the final word on the subject. This a legal fact and everything to the contrary (hypothetical nonsense) is worthless and without merit. Yesterday, today and tomorrow this car is a Mitsubishi.

However, niceguy, for the sake of argument, the "Diamante" of that vintage was, at the time, occasionally referred to as the "poor man's BMW".
