I may soon become the owner of this beautiful Lane dining set, and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. I have seen this set once or twice before, and I've always liked it. It seems to be somewhat rarer than most Lane styles. Does anyone know the designer? when it was made? the name of the line? any other info about it? Thanks!
With many Lane products, the number series stamped on the piece tells you it's age. Read the numbers backwards to determine the date the piece was manufactured.
for instance 967130 woul be read 031769
03= 3rd month, March
17= day of the month, the 17th
69 = the year, 1969
This works MOST of the time, although some pieces do have extra numbers.
