| Hi difelicaintonio, The top clip is from "Double Agent 73" starring the talented and charming Chesty Morgan. Again, it is the best film that I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. Chesty also starred in a wonderful film called "Deadly Weapons". You can borrow my copy's anytime. Bottom clip is from John Water's "Serial Mom". Best, Aunt Mark ps upmost apologies to my dear friend objectworship for (as usual) getting the thread off topic. Now, back to flowers and candy and holiday cheer in a pitcher! (edit. Im wrong... the top clip is from Deadly Weapons. ... | |||||

| @difeliciantonio 100% agreed. Actually I wanted to give you guys an update that we've (Well my boss) managed to get a 3d printer ourselves (BIG YES!) and are using it at our home furniture shop. You were definitely right about the different types and materials out there. Our uses a 'tough resin' ( http://formlabs.com/support/materials/using-tough-resin/ . This is very exciting stuff and I can't wait to share some of our creations here shortly 🙂 PS: This tech has definitely increased my passion for design and creating even more. | |||||

| Hey difeliciantonio, Sounds like a great adventure, and don't forget to check in from Hong Kong once you get settled in. I like the door too. I need a new front door, and you gave me ideas. Thanks and have a safe trip. | |||||

| difeliciantonio, Your actions are kind and generous. There must be an example suitable in the Kurt Meinecke rugs for Herman Miller. I have seen the Blue with Black Chair in the large size in the entry of a local Herman Miller commercial dealer. The rug was well made. | |||||

| I think difeliciantonio is correct, but this model appears to have the rarer cushion extension table on the right side. Please take some shots of under the table, if you can... have always wondered exactly how that attached. | |||||

| @difeliciantonio I would recommend editing your first post a bold disclaimer that this whole practice is not intended for commercial production but for your own personal satisfaction. It appears that those who have not followed the conversation are unaware of your intentions. Unless of course your intentions have changed, in which case how much would you be willing to sell them for...(stirs the pot)... I kid I kid | |||||

| difeliciantonio, nice little project. Maybe you could save the cost of the special bevel bit by making your bevels on the table saw, and following the corners on the stationary disc sander with its table set to the same angle (after making the radius as before) ? With this small top you shouldn't have much trouble, and you'll actually get a better surface than with the router -- no grain tear-out on the corners. Thanks for starting a great thread ! (Ignore snarky posters -- they go with the territory. It's just too easy to let those bottled-up emotions ou ... | |||||

| difeliciantonio The LTR is 11 and 1/4 inches by 13 and 5/8 inches. Those are the OUTSIDE dimensions of the thick rod material. Not "on center" measurements. And the thinner supporting rod is wrapped around the outside of that, so that would add some to the total. | |||||

| difeliciantonio Thanks a lot for your hint! Yes, they are indeed pretty similar with yours but I confirm that tops and legs are all made of solid teak. Despite some obvious differences, I find them to be somwhat closer to these tables designed by Hovmand Olsen for Mogens Kold (see link below) Thanks again! http://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/tables/nesting-tables-stacking-tables/d... | |||||

| difeliciantonio A lot of times those paper labels dry up and fall off, or one end comes loose and someone gets tired of seeing the bit of paper hanging off the bottom and peels it off completely. Congrats on the successful ID. Doesn't always happen! | |||||

| Egg chair dilemma | 2 Relevance | 20 years ago | room606 | General discussion | |
| Egg chair dilemma I retract my comment about the Fritz Hansen Egg chairs. I visited the current FH production at DWR today and there is no longer any aesthetic diff between it and the good Chinese knockoffs. Have a look at the stem on the base - completely changed, ruined. It could be the same chair as the knockoff were it not slightly heavier. Very disapointing. Hopefully a correctable temporary lapse of judgment. I wouldn't buy either chair, but certainly would not pay 10x for the legitimate ugly cousin. And those Kjaerholm chairs from Thailand are also st ... | |||||
| anyone know the diff between pre/post 1971 eames lounge chair? | 2 Relevance | 20 years ago | NULL NULL | General discussion | |
| anyone know the diff between pre/post 1971 eames lounge chair? Hi folks- Squanto here (again). I've been talking to various folk in LA who do repairs and restoration. Since I am trying to keep costs down I will probably seek out another source for reupholstery. Does anyone have any suggestions for a cost-friendly source? I know my cushions have down (they are leaking feathers)- but apparently it is a big deal whether the chair is pre or post 1971. How do I figure this out? | |||||
