| I think i found the original thread with higher res pictures here: http://old.designaddict.com/forum/General-discussion/George-Tanier-Selection-table-found-thrift-shop I didn't realize there was this separate URL for the "old" Forum. furnitureindex.dk is a great resource I was also unaware of. | |||||

| Small table with drawer and flip down door in blonde wood (elm?). Has a "Made in Finland" ink stamp on the back of the drawer but no maker's mark. Is this a sewing table or just a side table or nightstand? did some image searches and didn't see anything like it. Is there a good online source for Finnish furniture? Attachment: FT5.jpg | |||||

| @lexi Thanks for hunting this down. So maybe all the versions with the wooden lights are from Genestar. Would make sense if they didn't stamp or label their pieces. Interesting that the only sites that attribute this version to them are French. Most English language sites say this version was produced in Switzerland but I haven't seen any evidence of that. | |||||

| Came across this Thonet chair the other day. Style # 2057-SU7 made in the Statesville, North Carolina factory in 1964. It's a sample for a model that apparently didn't sell well because I can't find another online. Just thought I'd post it for reference. Looks like an attempt to introduce a little Danish style. | ... after JUST MISSING out on the matching desk at another charity shop. By seconds. It turns out the tried to donate it to the first one and they didn't want anymore desks.... OFF TOPIC - As you can see I haven't been hanging out here since the changes. Good to see a familiar name. Are any of the old crew posting elsewhere? I benefited so much from their combined knowledge over the years. Thanks tons and I will provide an update. | |||||

| Yes, the desk in your link are what I trying to identify. My desk was similar to it. Legs were square not tapered & the pattern on my rolltop didn't have insets or angles. I've found about 15 online and all pics of labels match your link. Mine however is different. Says SMI (exactly like this in a line) no circle no over laying of of the letters. It does have 528 under the letters & an Nr that is 6 digits but starts with a 2. Also 1 number is a little higher in alignment. All labels I've found online start with a 1 if it's a 6 digits #. I've been tol ... | |||||

| Thank you 🙂 I didn't want to offend you. I judged the appearence of the chairs only by this low quality photograph - they look very good on the picure which you attached. Those are not my chairs, and it is not my room 🙂 | |||||

| This set sold at an auction in LA. They listed it as "contemporary" but didn't mention the maker. Here's the link: https://www.loveseat.com/i/contemporary-dinette-w-2-chrome-cane-chairs/ Attachment: Chr.jpg | |||||

| Looks very similar to lamps by German maker Gebrüder Cosack. I didn't see one exactly like yours, but there are a number that share some key elements, like this one: https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/lighting/floor-lamps/chrome-floor-lamp-three-spotlights-gebruder-cosack/id-f_13692941/ Attachment: GC.jpg | |||||

| I know we're not to talk about money here, but he's also listed it for 5 figures. It's the most expensive sideboard on eBay over here in the UK. Congratulations Robert, glad you found a value you were happy with! It's not rosewood either, it's very clearly teak. It looks like one of those designs from the late 60s that got caught up in the bustle of that period and never had a designer associated with it. P.S I didn't realise this place was back to being mostly functional, woo! | |||||

| Nice find both of you. didn't know Chris Ferebee, seems that the shelves were produced around 2002/3. The veneer is supposed to be walnut, by the way. | |||||

| I was unfamiliar with Chris Ferebee as well. He's an American designer now based in Virginia. Seems to be best known for his "Hive" shelving unit designed in 1999. According to auction notes, the original version pictured here, developed by his NY company Five Twenty One Design was supposed to be produced by Gubi but didn't happen for some reason. Some of the prototypes (reportedly there were 10) have been sold at auctions by Wright and LA Modern. A later version called the Hive H2 was produced in 2002-3. Attachment: Hive.jpg | |||||
| RE: Clausen and Manus desk. | 1 Relevance | 7 years ago | Herringbone | General discussion | |
| ... the desk for Clausen and Manus and that Eden either bought the copyright and produced it in the Netherlands - or that even Clausen and Manus had it produced in the Netherlands because they were operating from the US and didn't have regional preferences? Or that either Clausen or Manus seperately had it produced in the Netherlands. That's a tough one. | |||||
| RE: Madsen and Schubell | 1 Relevance | 7 years ago | Herringbone | General discussion | |
| Nice. Probably their only appearance on the American market. I always find it interesting, how sucessfull some of their models must have been for them, like MS6 which presumably was the most successful. And how other models just didn‘t sell at all. | |||||
