| Sure you are a great eBayer tinyarmada, 1. Picture had big wrinkle, seller didn't mention. Not worth the money! (1260 - 100% rating) 2. Seller is a liar, overcharged shipping and poorly packed item arrived broken - Seller lied to ebay resolution too. Buyers beware. (2706 - 100% rating) Sure you are a great eBayer. Two people with thousands of purchases and 100% ratings just got it wrong. What does sexual persuasion have to do with people not caring for your underhanded and deceptive business practices. I would suggest that Mark sissy slap you with his Gucci ... | |||||

| ... should "know better" through psychic powers, who I.D. when they should magically have zillions of references. And then those who reveal actual information gleaned - such as I did (I am the only one who stated the fact Stiffel didn't make them) get jumped on. In fact, if you go through the thousands of threads, there is just a lot of bad behavior from some long term posters who claim to be experts but act like snotty little kids with their own MCM shop. This forum and the antics of a few of the odd-bals on here are mentioned on other forums as a good reason ... | |||||

| Saying it In all fairness, you didn't say Parzinger did not design for Stiffel - you said it wasn't like any you have seen from Parzinger. Not the same thing. I'm glad that is sorted out from that aspect though thanks to the Parzinger Original site. Now the interesting part will be to find some Stiffel catalogues to find out when this lamp was made, as I am rather curious now. | |||||

| Indeed, it does look weird... Indeed, it does look weird and base and shape are wrong for Casala. Chair looks way to far forward on pedestal. Are you certain someone didn't put two elements together? | |||||

| You're not the only one I wish I'd just repaired the shock mounts and left the cushions alone, too, but I didn't. I trusted someone else to make too many decisions for me. But what's done is done. I just want to figure out what a fair value is, sell, and do the next one the right way! | |||||

| Thanks--I wish he had been... Thanks--I wish he had been able to salvage the original cushions. I really should have specified what he could and couldn't do w/the chair, so that's all on me. We didn't touch the wood, at least. I have about $3000 invested in the chair. It looks great, but I hate the foam and would rather sell this one and find another that hasn't been restored. | |||||

| ... listing that mentions Parzinger and Stiffel in the same sentence to correct them - I know this is paramount in your lives. Some of you ....... seem to forget that it was me who posted up on here the fact that Stiffel didn't produce anything for Parzinger - not you ...... I am a great ebayer btw. And you know it. I get the idea a guy who picks up a lamp like this for $20 and a cocktail table for $35 must annoy you.......something shocking. Try to be adults and share the forum with those who know less and more than you .......... - it wasn't made for you guys ... | |||||
| Oh, those are not stains... | 1 Relevance | 14 years ago | Mark | General discussion | |
| Oh, those are not stains... The textile (by Maharam) was called "Blatter Splatter". I believe that it was introduced during the era of "American Nudist dining"...when dinner guests were encouraged to bring a hand towel, but usually didn't. Pretty and practical, too! Carry on.. ps nice chairs. | |||||

| ... to worry about it in a long run. The mount failed due to oxidation of the rubber but not the adhesive because it was a pain in the butt to get the old mounts off of the wood shells. It took me and my dad altogether about 6 hours to saw off and sand off the old mounts. I have to say we're no professionals although my dad is a very good handy man. So in the process of removing the old mounts with all the sanding, we did leave some marks on the inside of the wood shells. Luckily, it's not visible at all after assembling the chair. The tricky part of installing ... | |||||

| I read "leather in lays" as a typo for "leather in laws", which didn't make a lot of sense either until I got to the part about a stockholding relative, then I thought maybe the stockholding relative was the leather in law, but turns out I was wrong. I think. | |||||

| I'll try again.... I had no luck yesterday searching on Nelson and X-Leg. I was really hoping I had found the missing piece of info when I found the x-leg reference but it didn't help. I'll try again tomorrow, maybe I'll have better luck. As for the chairs I've found more tonight then I did yesterday but nothing as detailed as I need. At first, due to the lack of any labels or tags I assumed they were not really but after last nights research I was starting to believe they are real plus the story about the chairs being used by owners when they were young (no ... | |||||

| how much would have been made of these? I have to say they are somewhat atypical compared to the other designs by wegner. Is this certain that he did the design for Fritz Hansen (a firm he didn't work for that much, if I'm not mistaken?)? | |||||
