| I appreciate and welcome your critique EH anytime. I moved on because I thought you hated the painting, and didn't want to look at it anymore..:) Since I've started on eBay, I've only had a handful of items stay in store rotation for over a year. Those are the really niche ones, like a pair of ceremonial Kuduo Vessels from Ghana I'm still sitting on. My stuff all moves though, with no real issues. Oh, and Lava Lamps came out around 1958. Craven Walker invented them. While two Americans were on an overseas business trip, they went into a bar were Walker had t ... | |||||

They thought it would bring over $12,000, but one of the big buyers didn't show, after he dropped $10,000 on a fruit jar the day before. http://www.crockerfarm.com/stoneware-auction/2010-04-10/lot-212/John-H-C... | . Yes I think this idea that everything well known designers do is worthy of praise, should never be improved, changed or deleted is going a bit far now. The same with this obsession for original scars, I actually heard a radio interview last week where the subject was extolling the wonders of the restoration of a Gallery, they had preserved 'original holes' from exhibitions in the 40's, either that or the budget didn't stretch to spackle.

| SX-70 In this particular case I didn't replace the cushions, I bought it in this perfect condition, I only had to restore the teak frame. The cushions were separated, not tied together. But very often I have to replace the cushions for Wegner chairs and sofas, I'm using a superior quality of cold foam to do it, with a density of 50-55. | |||||

| You can do every wall... Like in conan the destroyer. I personally think mirrors can look cool, if you have the right items reflecting, or playing off them. Or if you're trying to make a small area seem larger and more open. I actually liked the mirrors. Just didn't seem like enough color popping off them. Imo... I'd take out the couch, and put in a 300 gallon salt water tank. That should give you some color...:) | |||||

The box's main purpose is trying to stand out for a split second and make someone buy it. That role dominates its potential for meaning. In this case, you could say that it doesn't matter if the artist tells you his intent is this or that, because the context overpowers the visuals. | Dude.... You're a buffoon. If someone told you it's worth at least $1,900, and then it sold for $3,300, where they wrong? If you won it for $1,900, only to find out you could sell it the next day for $3,000 would you not be happy? They didn't say it was worth no more than $1,900. If you knew how to comprehend intelligent communication, you would have picked that up. I'd hate to have asked for prices, and got advice from you. No telling how many thousands I would have lost by now. The price for a 1960's "Eames" chair in 2013 can range from $10 to $50,000. Do ...

| ... yet you have no knowledge of the market around you from day to day, so why does it even matter? What I don't understand is if you have so much money, then why didn't you just go with the best in the beginning? Why are you trying to save as much as possible? Why are you trying to buy reproductions? You said you might even buy two. Why are you buying more items, if you're divesting your assets? Either you don't know what you're buying and have no common sense about it, or you were wanting to score it cheap for $2,000 and sell it for $5,000 trying to dull down ... | |||||

| Kababy.... Your logic makes no sense whatsoever, and apparently you have no concept of cost vs. value. Expense vs. investment. Let's break it down. 1. "Why would I blow $3500 on a chair?" You didn't. The guy before you did. That's why you want new cushions. 2. "One can get a awesome comfortable chair for $200, so how to justify the extra $3300?" You can't justify anything to someone with blinders on. You have no knowledge of history, or resale value of investments. what's your idea of awesome? You can get a comfortable chair at goodwill for $9.99. 3. "A chai ... | |||||

This COULD be one of his? Most i have seen didn't have metal details, though. EDIT - It really does look like his work. I'll see if I can find his name again (Where are you located?
