| Sorry, its early in the morning and I haven't had my coffee yet. Do you mean the older chair in your last image. The older chair having the two piece arm construction? Thanks for posting, I have just picked up a Model 55 (the first one I have had) they are lovely chairs and I didn't realise they had different construction methods. Mine is an early chair. I have often thought that Moller chairs with the simple ink makers stamp as apposed to the metal tag are earlier productions. | |||||

| 20 lbs of Danish Cord Got six new Møllers to re-cord. Not the ones in the photo. They came with perfect cord. No more 2 lb dilettante rolls of danish cord for me. Had to spring for the 20 lb spool. Didn't realize it was going to be this big though. | |||||

| I liked it, but I'd be way more interested in hearing and seeing an actual piece composed for these pieces, something with some form and not just one person walking around playing what seems like random pieces. Maybe he had an overall plan for this but it didn't come off that way. There's a lot of great music for just percussion instruments, by the way! | |||||

| . It was good, someone here ages ago was really down on his work but what they didn't understand was that working that way requires more discernment not less and a fantastic eye. If anyone knows of any longer length docs on Japanese craft that would be good to see, there is this Smithsonian filmed lecture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkXYy9uVud4 | |||||

It's not as wide as the Knoll table, which suits my needs better. I've seen these bases around a lot. They originally had glass or marble tops, I think.

| Not sure on that one... I guarantee though that if Dave Gilmour, Roger Waters, or George Harrison got a hold of those, the recorded outcome would be a lot different... Bootleg of Dave and Roger talking about that very thing, during an outtake of On The Run for Dark Side of The Moon: Dave: It would be interesting to see exactly what 4 people could do, who didn't know anything about music really, and you just told them to get on with it, and do something. It'd be an interesting experiment. Roger: I think we've come off better. (Laughs) Dave: It's like saying, ... | |||||

Now that we have almost all we had wanted and now of course want different things, pieces I/we didn't even know existed years ago when we started looking and drooling. I think we'll be in constant flux with our furniture but probably not quite as much now that all of our furniture is furniture we love. Art is our next venture I'm sure and that might be more difficult, who knows? interesting topic by the way

| Nice bench, Heath Let's see at least another photo or two ? The bamboo cut and milled easily enough -- no real difference from other hardwoods, so far. There is a resin-infused "rebundled" form of bamboo that reportedly makes a harder flooring. They stain in six ways from Sunday . . . Multiple varieties of eucalyptus were imported to the California coast a century and more ago; the idea was that it would be good for building. The users didn't find it that way (it reportedly twisted and did all sorts of bad stuff) -- so they used it for windbreaks and fire ... | |||||

| I have this exact... I have this exact table...the vintage version, not a reissue. I don't see the possibility of it tipping. It's pretty heavy. It's been as sturdy as other tables I have owned. I even fell off a stool changing the light bulb over the table and hit the table, knocked over a chair, and a small shelf on the way down. The table didn't budge an inch so plenty sturdy. The table did nearly knock me out on the way down so it's pretty tough. I am no longer allowed to change bulbs in the ceiling. My brother comes over to do it for me LOL | |||||

| ... become a predictable cliche. I guess it is up to each individual to decide if this room has crossed that line or not though. Also, what if one is not viewing the room with the flowers in their immediate foreground? Unless you are hanging out at that end of the room and looking towards the Warhol, there would be no other color to pick it up. In this case, I wouldn't mind being a little more surprised by how the designer made the room come together. The flower accent seems a pretty obvious trick, even if it serves its purpose well, and I think there are more ... | |||||

| ... flawed way to approach a design. Infact, much of the modernist homes and furniture that have become staples of the mid-century modern fad were once scoffed at because they didn't fit within the parameters of popular taste. The only real test is to live in a building or sit in a chair. I believe that good design is the marriage of form and function. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and is often overrated. | |||||
