| Today was a good day. First I saw the little pottery vase for 99 cents (amateur effort, not worth much but nicely done and I like it). Then I spotted the Wirkkala "Pinus" vase for $1.99. Some little chips on the rim but so what! 2 bucks! Then I started down the lamp aisle even though this store has NEVER had ANY good lamps in the hundreds of times I've been there. I'm not kidding. None. Ever. So you can imagine my shock when there was a vintage Nelson bubble almost falling off the narrow shelf. Twenty bucks. I don't really have anywhere to hang it but I've always loved the warm glow of the vintage ones so I think i'm gonna hang onto it for now and try to work out a place for it. After those finds, plus a Cathrineholm lotus piece that I didn't notice was rather beat up because i was pretty excited at that point, I went back through the whole store double checking for more stuff--found the other glass vase which I don't know what it is but i got it just in case (probably nothing). This store screens donations more thoroughly than anywhere i've ever been. Someone was asleep at the wheel when that lamp made it through. | |||||

| Alright, I am going to save Spanky the trouble of having to start a new thread this time. When we get over 100 posts, and more than 3 pages, it is usually time.... I got a cart and 4 tables. I am actually really excited for this find, as it is one of my favorite forms for the tea-cart medium in Danish furniture. While I have no ill will towards the tea cart, I usually find that their primary utility is as a plant stand, display for pottery, or some other static use. While I have used one of my carts for actually serving a couple times, far and away they usually sit unused. This piece however, will certainly provide utility for those nights dinner is served somewhere other than dinner table (which is fairly often in our house). Plus it has 5 separate surfaces for display, cocktail parties, and a myriad of other applications. It is overall in pretty good shape. The original owner, is was told, got a bit careless in her old age, and one of the daughters (thanks for the term Leif) was stained. Not anything some Oxalic Acid wont remedy, but otherwise I will let these exist as is, with no refinishing. I have seen lots of these out there with the square legs and Eastern European origin, but very few actual Hundevad and Co pieces with the round legs. It also seems that Hundevad and Co produced this design in both 4 and 3 table versions. Not sure anyone was ever able to narrow down exactly who designed them, but it would seem that Carlo Jensen is the most likely candidate. | |||||

| Greetings all! I grabbed a pair of yellow Gainey planters (to compliment my white Gainey planters) from my favorite charity store. I plan to visit the handsome fellows at the nursery for a bit of flora and fauna after lunch. I'll wear pink. With love, Your Aunt Mark ps the planters are in perfect shape. pss I probably should return and grab the white Gainey (same size as the yellow), but it was kind of crusty..and I'm getting too many plants on the patio. | |||||

| I purchased the Marcel Wanders Haikus 75 cm ceramic plate with black metal display stand* for B&B Italia on the last day of December. This was my gift to me. I saw this piece on display at the B&B Italia dealer in 2014. One year later we agreed upon a price. I will display this upon a Piero Lissoni 261-08 Note black low rectangular table with casters for Cassina. Perfect in the dining room. *this stock photo does not include the stand | |||||
