| DIdn't it used to resize | 2 Relevance | 10 years ago | Spanky | General discussion | |
| DIdn't it used to resize photos automatically? Mine are all huge and I remember getting that message all the time, that the photo had been resized. Whatever--I'm so glad it's working again! It's amazing how used I had gotten to just clicking on stuff to upload it here. I really, really missed that feature. | |||||
| Yeah, I didn't see any white | 2 Relevance | 10 years ago | Spanky | Repair | |
| Yeah, I didn't see any white/yellow combos when I looked but I've seen at least one in the past! (I was joking about it being a guilty secret, for the record! I do have pretty definite tastes but at this point in my life I'm quite secure about straying from them, too.) Here's one that's kinda close to what i remember seeing, though this one is definitely more of a mustard yellow and not egg yolk yellow: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/c2/7b/6e/c27b6ed79fa58e8b5b255... | |||||

| Bruno Mathsson folding dining table | 2 Relevance | 11 years ago | Orffan | Identification | |
| I'm interested in purchasing one of these tables. I was told by an antiques dealer that these table tops were never made of solid wood but always a veneer. (He has the veneered variety, of course.) I find this difficult to believe but then I didn't realize Frank Lloyd Wright used plywood in his furniture designs either. Can someone give me information concerning this statement, please. | |||||
| Help please! I.D Marble top dining table / desk | 2 Relevance | 10 years ago | bathstudios | Identification | |
| Hi, I would love to ID this dining table / desk , its a marble top, does anyone have any ideas of the designer and year, i also need to try and remove the yellowing on top i guess it may be a coating on the marble that has yellowed? It screams italian or French late 60's 70s early 80s to me, the person i bought it off tried to tell me it was a Florence Knoll but i didn't think it was their style. I cant make out the stamp underneath Note the legs are two tone, like steel and gold/chrome Thanks for any help! | |||||
| "Dry" Spots After Oiling Rosewood Skovby Dining Table | 2 Relevance | 10 years ago | dagonpaul | General discussion | |
| Hello Design Addict community, I have been a long time lurker, now with my first post. I recently picked up a beautiful rosewood Skovby dining table that needed some love but I am having trouble finishing it off. I picked up the table from a retiring co-worker who was downsizing and needed to get rid of it. (picked up the table and 6 Eric Buck model 49 chairs for $50!) It was clear the table had been through a lot. Though the finish was mostly in tact, the top had changed color significantly from UV exposure and there were numerous spots where it was clear ... | |||||
| Eames Aluminum Group Side Chair Disassembly (and Reassembly?) | 2 Relevance | 11 years ago | racecar | General discussion | |
| Skip ahead to the ------------------------- if you don't need the backstory: A year or two ago I picked up two Eames fiberglass chairs from the curb, in near perfect shape. This snowballed into an addiction (site's named appropriately), moving through the different fiberglass chairs and then into the aluminum group. I've now owned 5-1/2 or 6 of them depending on how you count it. The first was a side chair, granny smith apple green cloth, no arms, no tilt, not very comfortable, but really nice looking. The next was a high backed soft pad lounge chair in blue ... | |||||
| Very Nice Dining Set, Walter of Wabash | 2 Relevance | 11 years ago | SandraG | Identification | |
| We stopped at some shops today as we were travelling through our state. We saw this really beautiful dining set....too rich for us and we just don't have the room. The pic isn't great because I was in a shop and they didn't seem too keen on me taking photos with my phone. I think it will enlarge when it's clicked on. My main reason for posting is to show this amazing dining set. The only mark was a Walter of Wabash mark. The frames of the chairs were actually metal. The set has a large wall unit behind it that goes with it. You can see it had one long bench ... | |||||
| Mid Century Modern Dinnerware | 2 Relevance | 13 years ago | guyinSF | General discussion | |
| I scanned through the forum to see if anyone has started a thread about this but didn't see anything. Would love to check out what all of you have from your collections and let us know what patterns are on your wish lists. There are a few patterns that have sort of reached legendary status like Franciscan Starburst. I just scored a set of 4 Swedish Rorstrand dinner plates from the Pomona series designed by Marianne Westman, $4 from Goodwill. | |||||
| Unmarked dining table - help identifying maker/designer | 2 Relevance | 13 years ago | frnturelvr | General discussion | |
| I recently purchased a really nice teak dining table that is unmarked (or missing the tag), and I'd love to get some help identifying the maker and designer. It's currently disassembled, but I've taken some pictures of the legs, top and side which hopefully are good enough to identify it. The top and sides are slightly curved, unlike most generic Danish teak tables I've seen. Pictures are at the link below (sorry they didn't show up right when I associated them with this post). Any info is appreciated! http://imgur.com/a/Fqm8g | |||||
