| There's no such thing as over posting, darling. Well...maybe. I over post...and so does one of the other poster's (nameless, but rhymes with "gun-movie-lude"). I happen to like your green sofa. As long as you don't nap on it, I see no reason to be concerned about your houseguest's comfort. They should be doing other things like helping you in the kitchen, dancing in the dining room, or shagging in the bedroom. The shape of you sofa makes me smile. just a thought, Aunt Mark | |||||

| Punk thing.. Its my opinion that the punk era started off a bit of a trend in furniture/design, Ron Arad, early Tom Dixon,Jon and the other guys at One Off in Neal st. at that time were all making stuff from scrap and ready mades, sometimes when i was in there you couldnt hear yourself think for the loudness of the music and there were that many people in it was like a club!. Other smaller shops started to sell similar pieces but i cant think of any more larger stores,(frightened). | |||||

| A conventional handle is such an empowering thing to a person... I strongly believe that a handle would be even more important on a product that asks persons to see the bowl in a new way. Also, it orients the person to the object. People need a lot of help with orienting to objects, as we are learning in graphic user interfaces in computing. | |||||
| The thing that determines this particular shape | 2 Relevance | 17 years ago | william-holden-... | General discussion | |
| The thing that determines this particular shape is the fact that it uses a fluorescent bulb. (I've never heard the term "piano/ strip" applied to such a lamp.) If you need a search term, just search "vintage fluorescent desk lamp", and you'll eventually find your Rosebud. | |||||

| Last little thing. Once the split was re-glued, the dovetails did not match up perfectly. You can see the glued split as the dark line in the board below the clamp. And the pin beside it had to be shaved down a tiny bit so the dovetails would fit together. This left a gap just thick enough for a piece of teak veneer to be slipped in. | |||||

| It is the real thing What you have is called a "transitional shell" .... the shells were originally produced by Zenith and later production was taken over by Herman Miller who simply replaced the Zenith sticker with their own. It was not until later in production that the embossed logo was added... so in reality your shell is earlier than the shells with the logo you are familiar with. | |||||

| The good thing is... that some of us on this forum seem to "click" and have empathy with one another in a rich and rewarding way... It is our human differences that are the link in the great scheme of things (whatever that is)... There is greatness in us all and weakness in us to boot... I've spent decades with relatives and friends waiting for just one glimmer of unique thought... Patience is important when you befriend nimrods... But well worth it when that blinding flash of light blasts forth... Good night my friends... | |||||

| Another thing that suggests that this is a "facelifted" model, is that it has only got one rail in the middle of the back. As far as I recall, i've only seen the version with two rails in the back before. I know France & Son did the opposite with Wanschers 166 series, where they added an extra rail in the back. | |||||
| LRF...one thing I did do with my electric cords | 2 Relevance | 17 years ago | barrympls | General discussion | |
| LRF...one thing I did do with my electric cords was to replace a couple of the brown or yellowed cords with brand new white ones, as my walls are white. They almost disappear. It makes sense for anyone to consider changing their electric cords to a color that matches exactly their wall color. | |||||

| One more thing... SDR's lighting suggestions all sound great. Be sure to vary the types of bulbs you use, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent and maybe some of those 'reveal' bulbs. That way you'll get the full sunlight spectrum as each type of bulb contributes a different wavelength signature. This will help the space seem more exposed to the outside. Another nifty trick if you decide on some hidden uplights, use aquarium fluorecent tubes. They cost more but the light is much blue-er and truer to natural light, they'll alos help the yellow tones look cleaner. | |||||

| As a new member to this forum I looked back and noticed each The Last Thing That You Acquired thread started after 100 posts. I thought I would begin with these Christian Bjorn Lighthouse 500 and 650 oil lamps for Menu. This is so much fun... | |||||
