| Hello all from Madrid! This is my first post over here. I found this website and forum the other day when I was trying to identify a teak dinnig table and chairs I have recently purchased. I love scandinavian furniture and I rescued them from trash, so I'm pretty happy. I'm attaching some pics. As far as I've researched I am almost sure the table was fabricated by CADO, The only thing is that I could not be able to search any cado label prior store it. It going to be stored from one year till we move to a new house we are now waiting for. Can anybody tell me ... | |||||

| Eero Saarinen Dinning room set | 2 Relevance | 19 years ago | arturo | General discussion | |
| Hello, I'd like to know if someone can tell me if the dinning room set we just purchased is originally from 1960's or where exactly was produced. I've talked to people at Knoll NY looking for information, but I only got very little details about the chairs/tables. The four chairs have embedded the code BR 51 on the bottom of the base, which is aluminum and they have plastic pads glued on to the rim and around it. When you remove the seat, the center of them is black, with several square like knobs sticking out from the round metal part. There is a small orif ... | |||||

| I dinno, LunchPail It's pretty rich. I've learned not to dislike things based on the subconscious realization that I would never be able to obtain them. This house is beautiful. But, I hate it's context. I agree, it needs to stand alone somewhere less intrusive. | |||||

| Dear dinosaur, We all here understand your frustration, we've all been there. I do hope that you're able to enjoy your lamp that was a bit over priced, as I sure that it is lovely. You haven't actually seen the cheaper priced version?..other than a picture on a web site? It could look a whole lot different up close. And maybe you'd might have received a major speeding ticket on your way too view/purchase the other lamp...or worse. Perhaps you're more-so upset with yourself for pulling the trigger too quickly?... and maybe I'm wrong. Best, Aunt Mark | |||||

| Picked up this rosewood credenza by Leif Jacobsen and am hoping to find more info on the piece/designer/manufacturer etc. Have found a few posts online and it seems to be a very rare piece which increases its value but I would really like to learn a bit more on the credenza. Behind the right door is a filing cabinet which slides out on heavy duty hardware. and on the left side are adjustable drawers. | |||||

| @diors tips on refinishing I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL. But, from my personal experience, you can get a paint gel or spray stripper at any home improvement store. Remove all the drawers / hardware and start one panel at a time. Let the stripper sit per directions on the product and then scrape off using a PLASTIC putty knife. You will most likely need to do this multiple times. For hard to reach places use #1 steel wool to remove the old finish. Also, on your last stripping process use steel wool and be sure to rub with the grain of the wood. When you have ... | |||||
