| Hi, We just got this vintage dining table in.In our opinion a rare find, but cant find anything about this dining table. It has a rectangular glass top and a small stainless steel strip at the bottom of the base.Is it Italian / Scandinavian or something else. Maybe someone recognises some details that he/she has seen before. Really trying to find more about this table and hoping that somebody can help us. | Danish teak dining chairs | 2 Relevance | 3 years ago | d101 | Identification | |
| Hi! I found these Danish teak dining chairs on the sidewalk (am very lucky), and I’m reupholstering them in the zigzag fabric. Confirmed they’re authentic when I took them apart and found the stamp (pictured), but no info on the manufacturer. Someone suggested Anderstrup Møbelfabrik, and I did a deep dive - looks like they could be an Eric Buch/Buck design. Haven’t found an exact match yet. Any thoughts? | RE: Sidechairs For "Saarinen" Oval Tulip Dining Table. | 2 Relevance | 3 years ago | tktoo2 | General discussion | |
| @frankielemmons. Yes, those Mollers are elegant in almost any setting, I agree. But maybe too elegant for us! Besides, someone who lives here thinks there is "too much wood" in this house already. And I agree about matching chairs. In our situation (open concept dining area), six tulip bases around an even larger one would present a jarring contrast stylistically to our other furnishings, especially if they were white. As of now, I'm really warming to @herrinbone's suggestion of Breuer chairs thinking maybe natural beech and chrome cantilever frames might ma ... | |||||

| RE: Arne Vodder dining table? | 2 Relevance | 2 years ago | cdsilva | Identification | |
| There is nothing wrong with the design and construction of this dining table. The wood rails are consistent with 50's production, perhaps 60's. The design does not immediately ring a bell for me, but nothing about the details would lead me to believe it has anything to do with Arne Vodder. There are many dining tables from that era that were made by a wide range of companies, many with in-house un-named designers. I have acquired similar tables in the past, and they sold somewhat quickly in the $700-900 range (I live in Chicago). | |||||
| Moller 83 dining chairs | 2 Relevance | 2 years ago | Plumeria | General discussion | |
| I have two older Moller 83 dining chairs that have breakage of the cording in the front of the seats. I would like to sell them but am wondering if this issue would mean a significant price reduction. Would it be worth it to have a repair shop that does this type of weaving create new seats? | |||||
| Scandinavian dining chairs? | 2 Relevance | 2 years ago | korall | Identification | |
| Hello! I have these old chairs, which I believe might be Scandinavian dining chairs. I'm trying to learn more about their design or origins, but I haven't been able to find much information so far. Does anyone recognize the style or designer? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance. Attachment: chairs.jpg | |||||

| Can anyone identify this teak mid-century paper cord chair? I suspect that it is Niels Otto Moller but I have not been able to identify the model. It has very distictive, decorative and functional "inserts" in another wood between the backrest and the upright. | |||||

| Definitely not Wegner. The design is close enough to the JH 507 that it could have been a direct inspiration. The sharp edges of framing members for both chairs and table look US-made to me. Attachment: JH013.jpg | |||||

| @cdsilva. The faded tree would suggest Boltinge Stolefabrik. Read this post yesterday and intended to reply with the same suggestion, but I got distracted by a glass of wine...! | |||||

| @lexi, @cdsilva They say, "great minds think alike" for good reason. P.S. I've been distracted by glasses of wine occasionally, too! But, then, often enough, the entire remainder of the bottle requires my full attention... | |||||
