| Unusual dining table ID. | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | DCNZ | Identification | |
| Can anyone help identify this dining table? with wide teak edge. I have a table which recently came from Germany but its origins I don’t know. It has an interesting joint on the leg. The legs are elliptical in shape and morf to form the joint. The table tops clashing around the edge gets wider in the corners which is also petty cool. Any help would be appreciated. | Teak Dining Side Chair with Slats to the Floor - Look Familiar? | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | MartanIngram | Identification | |
| Does anyone recognize these dining chairs? The slats go from the high back all the way down to the floor. Any idea of the designer or manufacturer? There are some stains on the seats. If I can't get them out, what color fabric do you reccomend? Thank you in advance. Attachment: Screenshot_20191210-121040_OfferUp.jpg | |||||
| RE: Danish Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen High back Dining Chairs? | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | Herringbone | General discussion | |
| I assume that the design is not old enough to have been produced in rosewood. It's from the 70s, and rosewood had almost disappeared from the market by then. From what I can tell, the chairs you posted could be stained beech. Probably mohagony stain, which is still offered. As mark737 wrote, it is not unusual for Schou Andersen that there is no marking. I think the company almost exclusively used paper marks, which fall off all the time. | |||||
| Danish Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen High back Dining Chairs? | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | we-r-1 | General discussion | |
| I think I was lucky enough yesterday to score a set of six chairs and dining table of Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen in almost flawless condition. First, by searching online I could not find any set made other than Teak and these are most probably Rosewood or walnut (my hunch is Rosewood) . They are very well made to the last detail and hardware. did Schou Andersen or any other fabricator made any of these in rosewood? Second, there is no marking or logo on any of these pieces, is that usual? Your input is greatly appreciated since this is my first owne ... | |||||

| Ha! Yes, emu leather and sheep's fur would be a major upgrade. There's an unadorned set on 1stDibs right now for $2900. With those improvements, gotta be worth at least $9K. I came across an old thread asking if these chairs (and matching table) were by De Lucchi . The response, by someone ironically called niceguy, was that they were "poorly executed" and obviously not associated with Memphis. The only thing I see that was poorly executed was your response, "niceguy". http://old.designaddict.com/forum/Identification/Need-help-identifying-designer-Memphis-Style-Postmodern-dining-set Attachment: memset.jpg | |||||
| Scandinavian Dining Table and Chairs - Johannes Andersen? | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | edmccoll | Identification | |
| Hi Folks, I continue to learn and I continue to post! We are in the process of redoing our dining room and have been offered a lovely dining table and chairs. The seller thinks it could be by Johannes Anderson but I am not too sure. Anyone any thoughts? I think its lovely albeit a bit pricey so would be good to get an idea if its by anyone in particular. Thanks in advance (again). Best Ed Attachment: Screenshot-2020-05-31-at-20.00.43.png | |||||

| ... H. Mortensen could be the " A.M" in the company name?? Notice the dates. 1948 and 1952.Image 1 Secondly, I noticed another mark on the underside of your table; a smudgy bit followed by the number 40. Found a Vejle stole og mobelfabrik table (Completely different to yours ) but with what looks like the same "smudge " followed by a number. Image2. Maybe the 2 companies were connected? Or maybe I am way off the mark... Now to the legs on your table; the joint, where the vertical part meets the feet, matches other AM tables I found online, albeit from more rece ... | |||||
