| Ditto with the paisley, it... Ditto with the paisley, it isn't my style but you can make it work as-is for now. Oh, and loving the wall color; I just painted my living room/ dining area that same tone. | |||||

| I lost a Hans Wegner dining... I lost a Hans Wegner dining suite, 6 "the chairs" and an extendable table all for the grand total of 75 dollars (folks are dumb where I come from) It was in a thrift store with a sold sticker on it, I got the guys phone number but his wife would not sell for any amount of money, I still hate her. I did buy a cool lounge suite today, its well made (teak cradles ) very comfortable, seats almost identical to Jacobsens 3300...for 80 bucks, highest one has hit on ebay is 100, what a stinker! Looks like another lounge suite on the p ... | |||||

| I like to linger at the dining table So comfort is very important to me. My dining chairs must have arm rests (although I will acknowledge that armless chairs would look better with my cafe-style dining table) and allow me the ability to prop my feet on the radiator and tilt the chair back on its two hind legs while sipping wine and engaging in casual conversation. These are my dining chairs, in white. http://www.fritzhansen.com/composite-145.htm I always thought that the Eames fiberglass rocker chair would make a great dining chair IF the seat height were ... | |||||

| dining... I also have 4 Little Tulip chair for my dining table. For this purpose they are very good. Even for an after dinner drink they are very nice. True they are not lounge chairs, but that is not what they where designed for, I think. (I ownde an Oyster in the past and can only confirm that it is extremely comfy) | |||||

| Got to disagree on this one,... Got to disagree on this one, although I know FLW could not be more SOOOO LAST OCTOBER in the modernist world. The chair you show is without question one of his best, and one of the best designed in the last 102 years. The only dining chair I like better is a somewhat similar chair for Taliesin III in Spring Green, circa 1944 (look it up on Architonic). Pure and simple Memphis, 40 years ahead of time, from the genius of modern design. | |||||

| The dining habits of bears | 2 Relevance | 21 years ago | Olive | General discussion | |
| The dining habits of bears Oh and vivienne, bears are omnivorous, which means they eat both plants and meat, but mostly they like plants, nuts and bugs. They are big fans of birdseed, they must like the nutty crunch! The black bears are relatively small (200-300 lbs or so) and find humans to a bit big as a menu item. | |||||

| dining chairs What do people think of office chairs ("task chairs") as dining chairs? Most have "gas-lift" (that's 'gas' as in 'air') height adjustment. . .and Doug Mockett and many others make legs for work-environment furniture that feature height adjustment. Woodie I. | |||||
| Respectfully disagree | 2 Relevance | 22 years ago | DavidDC | General discussion | |
| Respectfully disagree Olive, At one point, I was considering purchasing armless dining chairs (Jacobsen Series 7) for my dining table. Through this website, however, I obtained a great tip on some Vicoduo armchairs at Knollshop. I really like dining chairs with arms for the simple reason that they had that little extra bit of comfort, which I think is important, particularly given that the Vicoduo chairs are nonupholstered wood chairs. | Bertoia dining chairs I like the idea of the Bertoia chairs but are they going to be sturdy enough for a larger person? Also, I don't care for the bikini on these chairs and am wondering where I could get a "pad" or small cushion for the seat???? Thanks so much for your fabulous input here........ Heidi | |||||
| 70s dining chairs. Merrow? | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | retrojunky | Identification | |
| Does anyone recognise these dining chairs? The flat bar frame, seat shape and feet suggest it is likely to be Merrow, but I can't find any reference to it. The only picture I have found on Google calls it Pieff, which I guess is plausible, but less likely, mainly because of the feet. Any suggestions? Attachment: IMG_2470.jpg | |||||
