| Fristho Franeker teak dining table. Does anyone recognize the design? | 2 Relevance | 9 years ago | cptyyg | Identification | |
| Hello I bought this Fristho Franeker dining table on the weekend. I have never seen anything by Fristho in Canada before. Is anyone able to comment on who the designer might be? I bought it from the original owner who said they purchased it in 1963. It is an elegant table. | |||||

| Hi there, any help in identifying the manufacturer or Designer of this rosewood dining chair, would be greatly appreciated. The only marking appears to be the 'made in Denmark' stamp on the underside of the chair. The blue woolen upholstery is original. Thanking you in advance! Cheers. | |||||

| Hello everyone, I saw a Craigslist ad for a dining table that both my bride and I loved. We contacted the seller but the table was already taken. We both loved the table so much we decided we could try and hunt another one down but we are having trouble identifying it, as Google searching certain aspects of the table yield little to no results. Here's all the info I have: it's walnut, might be considered a "surfboard table" (?) and they usually include a leaf (or two) - I have yet to find one with chairs. Any help on a maker, design name or something to nar ... | |||||

| Yes, the dining chair support group really works! Ernest Rams, those look mighty familiar, I think it might be worth doing a bit of research on them... I hate to invoke the Wegner name with only the faintest of ideas, but I could have sworn he designed a very similar chair. | |||||

| I have a drop leaf (dining) | 2 Relevance | 9 years ago | _ | Identification | |
| Zephyr, I have a drop leaf (dining) table that I use as a work table, the base similar in construction to your table & it is stamped Vejle Stole Mobelfabrik Denmark, but that probably does not help much. I have seen the same metal braces used in (probably) mid 1970s tables. Vintage IKEA wood tables also used them for flat packing. | |||||
| I have owned a dining set | 2 Relevance | 10 years ago | leif ericson - Zephyr Renner | Identification | |
| I have owned a dining set from the same company. American. But it was very unusual for American pieces. The top of the dining table was teak veneer. And the chairs had swivel backs with the same press in cane as the above chair. The frames were stained elm. I have occasionally seen them falsely said to be Arne Vodder designs, no doubt because the chairs bear a strong resemblance to various AV designs. I still can't upload images to this thread, or I would upload some old photos of the set.... | |||||
| The dining chair design is | 2 Relevance | 10 years ago | cdsilva | Identification | |
| The dining chair design is not included in my Kagan book. If it was bought new in 2008, then it would've been through Ralph Pucci, so they might be able to assist with model #. Besides the 2010 Wright listing, I was unable to find another example online. For the other chairs, here are my thoughts: - one resembles the DAF chair by George Nelson. I know very little about Nelson, but would be surprised if the connection goes beyond "resembles" - two chairs look like Overman designs - googling "Italian club chair brass legs" might turn up something. | |||||

| This is the dining corner of my living room. The table is a very large Henning Haernulff Vejle table in teak that I salvaged from my local charity store. The white chairs are Eames reproductions that were the best I could afford when I bought them. There is also a real upholstered Eames chair by Vitra and a Peter Hvidt for Soborg #316 chair. The round teak mirror is by Aarhus Glasimport. The secretary is french vintage (varnished beech). The black table lamp is a vintage 6556 Kaiser Idell and the floor one is a new anglepoise. The clock is a vintage simplex ... | |||||
