Hands of Time – from a craftsmen’s workroom to your living room
We are not at all opposed to the addition of a poetical additional charge in the design of an object provided that it responds correctly to its function. It is the case in this recent creation. The face of this clock designed by Wisse Trooster & Quinten Peuling from QOOWL consists of a sanding disc whose wear is a metaphor of the passing time. The signs of use also tell the story of the craftsman who used the sanding tool.A sanding disc glued on a wooden plate + needles and a quartz clock mechanism: done! It is simple, effective and aesthetically pleasing. Diameter 30 cm. Available with a dark or pale clock face.
