Rare and heavy vintage Candlestick holder with seven arms for candles. Special geometric shape and midcentury design. Signed and labeled by Lars Holmström, Arvika. Dates from 1950`s. Measures: 50 cmL, 17 cmH and 15cmD of the base/foot. Good vintage condition. Swedish designer Lars August Holmström, born 1894 in Gävleborg County, died in Båstad. Well known Swedish mid-century artsmith. Lars Holmström has made luminaire and sacred vessels for many churches, including in Gothenburg, Kalmar, Stockholm, Uppsala as well as to no less than 57 churches in Värmland. In 1925 Lars Holmström participated in the Paris Exhibition and hit there with candlesticks and light fixtures and also with silver work. He is mentioned in French art magazines, where his work is referred to as mid-century masterpiece of art.
