This is one of the most iconic pieces of 1960’s Czech design. This piece perfectly embodies the elegance of the so-called Brussels Style, named after Expo 1958 in Brussels where Czechoslovakia won 13 prizes including one in the furniture category. It was produced by Lidokov factory in Boskovice, Czechoslovakia and is known as TYP S 102. This lamp, nicknamed as the ‘goose necks’ was made in various colour options. This lamp was very modern and popular at the time. The lamp is in great vintage condition. There is some minor wear and tear on the steel surface acquired over the years. Lamp shades are brand new, made as an exact copy of the original shape but with a modern material that is not damaged from the heat of the light bulb heat as with the original design.
